Learn How Article 7 Supports Your Child
This detailed session explores Article 7, Indiana's special education law, and provides parents and caregivers with practical tools to navigate the special education process. Participants will gain a better understanding of their important role as members of their child's educational team and their right to participate in key decisions affecting their child's education.

This hands-on workshop will also give participants the opportunity to practice using Article 7 to locate important information, helping families feel more prepared and informed when working with schools and educational teams.
Meet the Presenter: Angela Bear
Angela Bear serves as the Special Education Liaison for IN*SOURCE, supporting families throughout South Madison County, Hancock County, Henry County, and MSD Warren Township.
Angela brings a wealth of experience to her work, including backgrounds in special education, homeschooling, and American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting. She has also served in leadership roles within local homeschool cooperatives and remains actively involved in her church and community.
As a wife, mother, foster parent, and advocate, Angela understands the importance of strong family partnerships and meaningful support systems. Her passion is helping families understand their rights, access resources, and become confident participants in their children's educational journey.
When she's not supporting families, Angela enjoys crocheting, gardening, reading, baking, drinking coffee, and spending time with her loved ones—including two furry family members.
