Shares, Inc. Information Night: Understanding Upcoming Changes & Exploring New Opportunities

FUSE invites individuals, families, and caregivers to join us for an important and informative evening with Shares, Inc. as we discuss upcoming changes to prevocational (workshop) services and what these changes mean for the individuals they support.

As services continue to evolve, Shares is intentionally expanding day programming to become more flexible, individualized, and truly centered around each person’s goals, interests, and preferences. At the heart of these changes is one important principle: choice, ensuring every individual has real options and an active voice in deciding how they spend their day.

During this session, participants will receive an overview of the transition process and explore the important question:

“Do you want to work in the community?”

Whether the answer is yes, no, or “I’m not sure yet,” all responses are valid and respected.

For individuals interested in community employment, Shares will explain how they assist with connecting to the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation to access funding for Community Employment Services. Their experienced Employment Consultants work alongside job seekers to identify strengths, discover interests, build employer relationships, and provide on-the-job support.

For individuals who are not ready for employment—or are still exploring their options—Shares will highlight three Day Services pathways designed to support meaningful growth and engagement:

The Good Life Club
A pathway for individuals who want to stay active, social, and connected through meaningful experiences.

Skills to Thrive
Focused on building independence, confidence, and everyday life skills through engaging activities and community-based experiences.

Skills to Work
Designed to help individuals explore employment interests while developing workplace readiness skills for future opportunities.

The goal of this information night is to provide clarity, answer questions, and help families better understand how these changes are creating more person-centered opportunities.
