Becky Haymond

Becky Haymond began her career in the field of disabilities in 1982. Her first position was as a social worker with both adults and children at Shares, Inc., a Developmental Disability agency serving Hancock, Rush, and Shelby Counties in Indiana. She later became the Director of Developmental Services providing supervision to all children’s programs and staff as well as providing First Steps service coordination to families.

In April 2006, she made the decision to leave Shares and follow her passion for service coordination to Aging and Community Services as the Service Coordinator Supervisor and in 2012 took the Program Director role for First Steps South East serving Cluster H & J.

Becky has been very active in LPCC activities since it’s conception in the 1990’s. She was on the Governor’s ICC council for several years. She was a trainer with the state Bureau of Child Development for both direct service providers and service coordinators.

She has participated in several state work groups on behalf of First Steps.

 She received her BSW from Ball State University and MS in Special Education from Butler University.

Becky is a licensed social worker with the state of Indiana.

 Becky has been married to her husband, Rick, for 43 years. She has two adult children and four grandchildren. She is active in her church and the Community Foundation Hometown Advisory committee for Waldron, IN.

Becky and her daughter, Kara, have been FUSE volunteers for several years.
