Serving on Groups that Make Decisions: A Guide for Families

FUSE is happy to host a very important training from Family Voices Indiana for parents who want to develop their leadership skills.  This training with Jennifer Akers and Heather Dane will be offered in a two-part series.

Serving on Groups that Make Decisions: A Guide for Families

Families who have children with disabilities and/or special healthcare needs often desire to become more involved in the processes and groups that make decisions at a local, state, and federal level. One of the barriers that families often face is feeling unprepared and unsure on how to serve in these leadership roles. This 2 day workshop will enhance leadership skills in families who are interested in or currently serving on decision making groups. The goal is to increase families understanding, information, and confidence to effectively and actively participate in local, state, federal groups that make decisions so that families are better advocates for their children and the community as a whole.
