PITSTOP Transition Training on Vocational Rehabilitation

The fourth session in our new PITSTOP Transition Training Series is scheduled for Saturday, May 12, at Triton Central High School.

Achieving Employment with Vocational Rehabilitation Services

Saturday, May 12
9:00 am to 11:00 am
Triton Central High School Auditorium
4774 W 600 N, Fairland

Students transitioning from high school into the workforce may need additional supports to prepare for, obtain or retain employment. During this workshop two representatives from vocational rehabilitation will discuss their services, who may be eligible, how eligibility is determined, and how to work with local voc rehab counselors. Representatives from local employment services providers will also speak about what to expect from an agency providing services to voc rehab clients. Hear first-hand how providers work with individual clients to help them achieve their employment goals.

FUSE has partnered with the transition committee of Hancock Madison Shelby Education Services to create the PITSTOP Series on Transition. The PITSTOP training will help

Parents Involved in Transition learn about
STudent Opportunities and Programs

The PITSTOP trainings introduce families to the systems and services that may apply to their child, giving them the resource materials and contacts to begin their own process of exploring appropriate options with their young adult transitioning from high school. Some sessions will also offer information to preschool families transitioning into school services.
