This session will  offer a broad based overview of issues parents should consider when planning for their child’s transition into post-high school employment or training (including college or vocational school). Denise Arland, Executive Director of FUSE, will offer a personal perspective as the parent of four children with IEPs who graduated from high school in 2012.   Emphasis will be on transition from high school to adult life.  Preschool transition issues will also be addressed.

 Online registration is now available!

FUSE has partnered with the transition committee of Hancock Madison Shelby Education Services to create the PITSTOP Series on Transition. The PITSTOP training will help

Parents Involved in Transition learn about
STudent Opportunities and Programs

The PITSTOP trainings introduce families to the systems and services that may apply to their child, giving them the resource materials and contacts to begin their own process of exploring appropriate options with their young adult transitioning from high school.

Special thanks to the JMC Technology Group and MetLife Center for Special Needs Planning for their sponsorship of this training series.
