New Social Skills Classes Forming

FUSE is adding NEW classes for our BOSS after school social skills program for the spring semester. These classes will be offered at various Hancock County schools and will be taught by local school teachers and other staff at each site. Well-developed social skills are important because good social skills can positively influence academic performance, behavior, social and family relationships, and participation in extracurricular and community activities.

We are currently forming classes at:

Eastern Hancock Middle School (Tuesdays starting 2/12)

Greenfield-Central Junior High School (Wednesdays starting 2/6)

Brandywine Elementary School (Thursdays starting 2/7)

New Palestine Junior High School (Thursdays starting 2/7)

We also have openings in our Eastern Hancock Elementary site (Wednesdays starting 2/6)

Registration: Enrollment is limited to 8 participants per site. Deadline to register is January 25 (EXTENDED TO 2/1). A waiting list will be maintained once the class is full. Families will be notified of application approval by January 30 (OR within two days of receiving application).

Fee: $180 per semester, payable in full or in installments by automatic debit with a credit card. A small number of scholarships will be available based on financial need. Scholarship application available by request. Approval for scholarships may take up to two weeks. Scholarships are subject to fund availability.

Schedule: Once a week for 12 weeks, starting the first full week of February (excluding school holidays). Program day depends upon which school your child attends (see above). Specific schedules will be distributed on the first day of the program. BOSS runs for 75 minutes after the school day ends at your site. Parents are responsible for pick up.
