Home and Community Based Services for Students with Intellectual Disabilities Entering Adulthood

Come join us at this PITSTOP Transition Training for an open discussion about the service options for young adults with intellectual disabilities after high school. We will discuss the process for applying for services with the Bureau of Developmental Disability Services (BDDS) and what services are available through the Family Support Waiver and the Community Integration and Habilitation Waiver. Some of the options include community based services, supports in the family home, placement in a residential home, day services, and behavioral support. We will discuss the process, the services, and providers in the area that are approved to provide the services. A representative for a local residential service agency, Developmental Service Alternatives Inc., will lead the discussion.
