Growing Together Early Learning Series in Shelbyville

FUSE is pleased to announce that our Growing Together Early Learning Series has two more sessions left in Shelby County! The Growing Together Early Learning Series gives families of young children ideas for fun play-based activities that will support the development of early learning skills and help children achieve developmental milestones.

Parents attend the session with their child and get hands-on training from a pediatric therapist specializing in the developmental area targeted for each session, including speech/language, gross motor, fine motor or social/emotional development. Parents may attend one session or as many sessions as their schedule allows. Eligible children will be ages one to five and must be residents of Shelby County.

Advance registration is required for each session.   The remaining schedule is:

April 11         Big Muscles (focus on gross motor skills)

April 25        All About the Senses (focus on fine motor skills and sensory integration)

Registration is now open for Big Muscles and All About Senses

Learn how to easily work developmental activities into your everyday routines!

Big Muscles

The Big Muscles session will teach  parents how to help develop the muscles necessary for kids to grow up strong and healthy and encourage them to move.  Find out how “big muscles” impact learning too!

All About Senses

Have you ever wondered how the five senses impact your child’s development?  In the All About Senses session parents will learn: How the eyes and hands work together, and what happens when they don’t; How the things your child smells, feels, tastes and moves around impact how they play and feel; How future writing and manipulation skills can be impacted by play using shoulders, hands and tummies today.

Eligible children will be ages one to five and must be residents of Shelby County.
